Lenora Rivera specializes in Adult Primary Care. She received her undergraduate degree in nursing from the College of Mount St. Vincent in 2003 and began her nursing career at New York Presbyterian Cornell as a Critical Care RN in the surgical department. She served as charge nurse and mentor for Cornell’s first new RN mentorship program. Lenora then received her graduate degree from NYU in 2009. Focused on underserved populations, she completed the majority of her clinical rotations providing medical care for the homeless and prison population.

Lenora began her Nurse Practitioner career in Occupational Health, providing employee health services for a large retail company. She also managed a 37 bedded medical/surgical unit at Lenox Hill Hospital and was awarded a Nursing Innovator Leadership award. While still at Lenox Hill, Lenora joined the Quality Management Department as the Sepsis Coordinator and Rapid Response /Code Team quality specialist. Just before joining Fromer Eye, Lenora was manager and Nurse Practitioner at a busy clinic providing pre-employment and annual work clearances.

Lenora is a member of Sigma Theta Tau Nursing Honor Society, American Association of Critical Care Nurses and American Association of Nurse Practitioners. She is BCLS, ACLS certified.
